Sony is also releasing Robert Zemeckis’ Here (2024) on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/21. No 4K is currently planned.
Lionsgate is releasing Breck Eisner’s The Last Witch Hunter (2015) on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook on 2/28, with HDR10 and DTS:X.
Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has set Clint Eastwood’s Juror #2 for Blu-ray and DVD release on 2/4.
Kino Lorber Studio Classics has revealed that Steve Barron’s The Coneheads (1993) is coming soon to 4K and Blu-ray, licensed from Paramount. The 4K will feature Dolby Vision HDR. Meanwhile, KLSC is also working on a new Blu-ray edition of Mike Hodges’ I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead (2003) for release next year.
Coming to 4K and Blu-ray on 2/18 is John Hughes’ Uncle Buck (1989), licensed from Universal. It too will feature Dolby Vision. Look for Steven Lisberger’s Hot Pursuit (1987) on Blu-ray on 2/11. And Carl Reiner’s Summer Rental (1985) is coming on Blu-ray on 2/18.
Mill Creek Entertainment has rescheduled its 4-disc Documentary Now!: The Complete Series release for Blu-ray on 2/25.
Edward Berger’s Conclave (2024) is coming on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 2/11 from Focus Features via Universal.
Fun City Editions has set Daniel Petrie’s Lifeguard (1976) and Richard Benjamin’s Racing with the Moon (1984) for Blu-ray release on 2/11.
Cartuna (via our friends at Vinegar Syndrome) are releasing Mike Cheslik’s indie festival comedy hit Hundreds of Beavers (2022) on Blu-ray on 1/29. The release will include 10+ hours of bonus features, including a VFX breakdown, 3 audio commentaries, interviews, deleted scenes, promos and much more.
Shudder will release E.L. Katz’s Azrael (2024) on Blu-ray on 1/21.
Decal and Bleeker Street will release Guy Maddin’s Rumors (2024) on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/21.
Here’s something fun: The A24 Shop is releasing an exclusive VHS version of Kyle Mooney’s Y2K (2024). It ships on 1/7. Also coming from the A24 Shop is John Crowley’s We Live in Time (2024) on Blu-ray. That’s due to ship in January.
Mubi will release Coralie Fargeat’s The Substance (2024) on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on 1/21.
And finally, our friends at the Warner Archive Collection have announced some new catalog Blu-ray titles, including Looney Tunes: Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters on 1/18, ABC’s Cheyenne: The Complete Series (1955-1962), Dick Lowry’s Last Stand at Saber River (1997), Gregory La Cava’s Gabriel Over the White House (1933), Hanna-Barbera’s Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles: The Complete Series (1966-67), and Roger Kumble’s Just Friends (2005) on 1/28, and finally the Tom and Jerry: The Complete CinemaScope Collection on 2/11.
The Looney Tunes: Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters Blu-ray will include the shorts Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½th Century (1980), The Duxorcist (1987), The Night of the Living Duck (1988), Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers (1992), Superior Duck (1996), (Blooper) Bunny (1997), and Little Go Beep (2000).
Meanwhile, the Tom and Jerry: The Complete CinemaScope Collection (you can see the cover artwork above left) will include 23 shorts—Pet Peeve (1954), Touché, Pussy Cat!
