Extras exclusive to the Blu-ray SKUs will include 5 featurettes (The Kingdom Evolves, Return to Hawaii, Island Action, Aboard the Arcadia, and Start the Bidding!). The Blu-ray and DVD SKUs will also include 8 more featurettes (On Set with Chris & Bryce, Birth of the Indoraptor, Death by Dino, Monster in a Mansion, Rooftop Showdown, Malcolm’s Return, VFX Evolved, and Fallen Kingdom: The Conversation), A Song for the Kingdom, 12 of Chris Pratt’s Jurassic Journals, and Jurassic Then and Now: Presented by Barbasol. The 4K disc will feature Dolby Vision HDR. All the Blu-ray SKUs will include DTS:X object-based audio. You can see the cover artwork above left and also below.
Meanwhile today, we have word from Paramount that all five of their Jack Ryan 5-Film Collection films in 4K Ultra HD will feature Dolby Vision HDR.
Global Road Entertainment is releasing Drew Pearce’s Hotel Artemis on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 10/9.
Our retail sources indicate that Lionsgate is preparing to announce the 4K Ultra HD release of John Carpenter’s original Halloween (1978) for 10/2. We’ve updated the 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly.
Lionsgate will also release the sci-fi actioner Occupation on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 9/25.
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has just announced The X-Files: Season 11 for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 9/18. Coming on DVD only on 9/25 are 9-1-1: Season 1 and The Gifted: Season 1. And following on DVD only on 10/2 is The Resident: Season 1.
VCI Entertainment has set Topper Takes a Trip (1938) and Topper Returns (1941) for Blu-ray release on 11/13.
Blue Underground will release a Maniac: 3-Disc Limited Edition on Blu-ray on 11/13, mastered from a new 4K restoration of the film.
MVD is releasing Art School Confidential on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/9.
Universal Studios Home Entertainment has set Tales from the Hood 2 for release on Blu-ray on 10/2.
And here’s some cool news from Kino Lorber Studio Classics… they’re releasing the Roger Moore film Gold (1974) on Blu-ray and DVD on 9/18, along with The Pink Panther Cartoon Collection, Volume 3: 1968-1969 (including 22 shorts, #41-61, plus extras). Look for The Night Stalker (1972) on Blu-ray and DVD on 10/2. The company is also at work on a new Blu-ray and DVD release of Charley Varrick (1973), street date TBA.
Also newly-announced by The Warner Archive Collection on Blu-ray are Lucifer: The Complete Third Season, Riverdale: The Complete Second Season, Blindspot: The Complete Third Season, The Last Hunt (1956), Village of the Damned (1960), and Never So Few (1959).
