Also today, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the 20th anniversary today of one of my all-time favorite films, Anthony Minghella’s The English Patient. I saw it on a lark in 1996, in one of the most uncomfortable theaters I’ve ever sat in, and it still blew me away. I’d kill to have this film in 4K Ultra HD with HDR or perhaps in a truly worthy Criterion Blu-ray edition. One can always hope. In the meantime, here’s to The International Sand Club.
