In catalog Blu-ray news, Shout! and Scream Factory have recently announced a bevy of great catalog titles for release in August, including the long-awaited Mac and Me, Wilding, Lowlife, Big Fish & Begonia, and Pyewacket on 8/7, followed by Return of the Living Dead: Part II, The Unborn, Furlough, and new Steelbook editions of Lifeforce (from a new 4K scan), The Howling, and Army of Darkness on 8/14, the deep catalog classics The Tingler and Strait-Jacket on 8/21, and Brainscan and Mindgame on 8/28.
Coming on DVD from Shout! in August are Sid Caesar: The Works and Peter Gunn: The Complete Series on 8/14, and Police Story: Season Three and The High Chaparral: Season One on 8/28.
Focus Films and Universal will release Jose Padilha’s 7 Days in Entebbe on Blu-ray and DVD on 7/3. Extras will include a pair of featurettes.
Also coming from Universal on 7/3 is Brad Anderson’s Beirut, starring John Hamm and Rosamund Pike.
Newly announced from Kino Lorber for their Studio Classics line-up are upcoming editions of Michael Mann’s The Jericho Mile (1979) and Steve James’ Prefontaine (1997) on Blu-ray and DVD on 7/3, followed by George Cukor’s A Bill of Divorcement (1932) on both formats on 7/10, and William Wellman’s You Never Know Women (1927) on Blu-ray and DVD (street date TBA).
Image Entertainment will release Terminal on Blu-ray and DVD on 6/26, starring Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, and Mike Myers.
Arrow Video has set a new Blu-ray special edition of Vincent Ward’s The Navigator: A Medieval Odyssey for release on 7/24. They also have The Case of the Scorpion’s Tail and Doom Asylum coming to Blu-ray on 7/17.
And HBO has set Here and Now for DVD release on 8/7, with the Digital release due on 5/14.
