Also today, Arrow Video has announced a nice April Blu-ray slate, which is set to include The Wind (1986), Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988), Sixteen Candles (1984), Why Don’t You Just Die! (2018), Hagazussa: A Heathen’s Curse (2018 – in the UK only), and a Solid Metal Nightmares: The Films of Shinya Tsukomoto box set (that includes Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Tetsuo II: Body Hammer, The Adventure of Denchu-Kozo, Tokyo Fist, Bullet Ballet, A Snake of June, Vital, Haze, Kotoko, and Killing).
Meanwhile, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s long-awaited and oft-delayed The Current War, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Shannon, and Tom Holland, on Blu-ray and DVD on 3/31.
Our friends at Flicker Alley and the 3-D Film Archive have announced the Blu-ray 3D release of 3-D Rarities, Volume II on 4/7.
And it looks like Disney and Pixar’s final round of animated catalog films is finally official and available for pre-order on Amazon.com for release on 3/3.
