In other release news today, the Warner Archive Collection has revealed their February slate of titles, which will include Cedric Gibbons’s Tarzan and His Mate (1934), Hanna-Barbera’s Loopy De Loop: The Complete Collection (1959-65), Boris Ingster’s Stranger on the Third Floor (1940), and John Ford’s Mogambo (1953) all on Blu-ray on 2/24.
The MVD Rewind Collection as set the Lionheart: Extended Cut (1990) for 4K UHD release on 4/21.
Powerhouse Films and Indicator are releasing Michael Laughlin’s Dead Kids (1981 – aka Strange Behavior) and David Hemmings’ The Survivor (1981) in 4K UHD on 3/24.
Kino Classics has set Raoul Walsh’s original The Thief of Bagdad (1924) for Blu-ray release on 3/17. This is the original Douglas Fairbanks classic. It offers a new 4K restoration “produced by Patrick Stanbury of Photoplay Productions, and features the original Mortimer Wilson score, performed by the Frankfurt Radio Symphony.”
Universal has set Resident Alien: The Complete Series and Resident Alien: Season Four for Blu-ray release on 3/10.
Severin Films is releasing standard edition versions of Jess Franco’s Vampyros Lesbos (1971) and She Killed in Ecstasy (1971) in 4K Ultra HD on 3/31, along with Robert Fuest’s The Devil’s Rain (1975) and The Final Programme (1973) also in 4K.
Discotek Media is releasing Lupin the 3rd: The TV Specials on Blu-ray on 3/31, including Bye-Bye Lady Liberty, The Hemingway Papers, Napoleon’s Dictionary, From Siberia with Love, and Voyage to Danger.
Alliance is re-issuing a few former Paramount Presents catalog Blu-ray titles as regular (non-branded) Blu-rays on 3/31, including The Court Jester and Last Train from Gun Hill.
Umbrella Entertainment has set Pedro Almodóvar’s Matador (1986) for Blu-ray and 4K UHD, and the Out There By Toei Boxset (1978-2007)—includes A Message from Space (1978), Yo-Yo Girl Cop (2006), Exte: Hair Extensions (2007), and X-Cross (2007)— Higuchinsky’s Uzumaki (2000, aka Spiral), and Daniel J. Phillips’ Diabolic (2025) all for Blu-ray on 5/6.
On 4/22, Umbrella is releasing the Universal Horror: Monsters and Curiosities (1923-1960) box set on Blu-ray. And on 4/8, look for Umbrella to release the District 13: 2-Film Collection, Shadow Wars: The Elusive Kinji Fukasaku Collection (1975-1977), Siu-Tung Ching’s Naked Weapon (2002), and Guillaume Canet’s French thriller Tell No One (2000) all on Blu-ray.
Also today, pre-orders are now being taken for the eventual Blu-ray and 4K UHD release of Timur Bekmambetov’s Mercy (2026) from MGM via Alliance Entertainment. The film is currently in theaters.
Pre-orders are also now being taken for Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet (2025) in Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD as well from Focus and Universal, which is now in theaters and which was just nominated for Best Picture. The street date on both films is TBA.
