We’ve got more new disc reviews for you to enjoy today, including a couple that we posted over the weekend...

First up, Tim and Dennis have taken a look at Billy Wilder’s Some Like It Hot (1959) in 4K Ultra HD from Kino Lorber Studio Classics.

I’ve also posted my thoughts on Steven Spielberg’s new West Side Story on 4K Ultra HD from 20th Century Studios.

And Tim has offered his thoughts on Philip Marshak’s Dracula Sucks (1978) in 4K Ultra HD as well, an infamous adult genre title available from Vinegar Syndrome.

Finally, Dennis has posted his take on Ridley Scott’s House of Gucci on regular Blu-ray too.

I had the chance to watch the films over the weekend, and let me tell you: They’ve simply never looked better. The new 2020 restoration is a night and day improvement upon the already fine 2007 restoration that was released previously on Blu-ray, so you’re definitely not going to want to miss this new set. We’re kicking off the new week with more new Blu-ray reviews. And we’re very pleased today to add a pair of new reviewers to The Bits staff: David Steigman and Dennis Seuling!

Dennis checks in with a look at John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place on Blu-ray, which streets tomorrow from Paramount.

David has offered this thoughts on Irving Cummings’s My Gal Sal on Blu-ray from Twilight Time. That disc is now available.

And Tim has checked in with a pair of new reviews today as well, including the Re-Animator: Collector’s Edition (Region B) and the Bride of Re-Animator & Beyond Re-Animator: Collector’s Edition double feature (all region) Blu-ray, both from Umbrella Entertainment. [Read on here...]

All right, folks… we’ve got some great breaking news on the 4K catalog front for you today.

THIS JUST IN: Paramount is kicking ass with their 4K catalog releases. For whatever reason, they has opened up the floodgates with great titles on the format in 2018. And thank goodness for it!

As you already know, we’ve been reporting for a couple months now (and have confirmed) that all five Mission: Impossible films are coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray from Paramount this summer to support either the theatrical or home video release of Mission: Impossible – Fallout. That includes Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible 2, Mission: Impossible III, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. [Read on here...]
