All right, we’ve got two more 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray reviews for you this afternoon and they’re both animated: Fox’s The Peanuts Movie and Warner’s The LEGO Movie. Neither is native 4K but the High Dynamic Range really makes a big difference on them – especially on The LEGO Movie – so they’re both worth checking out if you’ve joined the early adopter ranks on this format. In announcement news today, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has set Risen for release on the Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray formats on 5/24. [Read on here…]

In release news today, Paramount has officially set Michael Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi for digital release on 5/24, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on 6/7. The Blu-ray will be a 3-disc set that includes the film itself on Disc One and a trio of documentary featurettes on Disc Two (including For the Record: Finding the Truth Amid the Noise, Uncovering Benghazi’s Secret Soldiers, and Preparing for Battle: Behind the Scenes of 13 Hours). Disc Three is a DVD version of the film.  [Read on here…]
