News and Reviews, plus Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from all of us at The Digital Bits!

Well, folks... today is the Friday before Christmas, so you know what that means. Hollywood is shutting down for the holidays and lots of you are starting your Christmas vacations!

Things are going to be pretty slow over the next week or two, so we may not check in every day, but we’ll try to drop by if there anything worth reporting for you guys. You never know. And we’ll have some reviews for you too.

Speaking of which, we’ve just added no less than 12 Blu-ray Disc reviews into the new site’s database, including a pair of music titles in Sting: Bring on the Night and The Police: Certifiable, a couple of fine catalog titles in the form of Forrest Gump, Rocky Balboa and Outbreak, a mess of Dr. Jahnke’s horror reviews including Audition, Children of the Corn, Child’s Play, Book of Blood and The Blood Trilogy, and finally a pair of great holiday titles including White Christmas and – or course – It’s a Wonderful Life. This is all part of our ongoing effort to bring all of our disc reviews from the original Bits website – and there are literally thousands – to the all-new Digital Bits review database. It’s gonna take a while, but step by step.

In release news today, the BBC has set Copper: Season Two for Blu-ray and DVD on 1/7.

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has set The Fifth Estate for Blu-ray Combo and DVD release on 1/28. Benedict Cumberbatch plays Wikileaks founder Julian Assange – should at least be interesting. Extras will include 3 featurettes (The Submission Platform: Visual Effects, In Camera: Graphics and Scoring Secrets) as well as trailers and TV spots.

Entertainment One has set Percentage for DVD and Digital release on 12/31.

Warner Home Video will release The Middle: The Complete Fourth Season on DVD only on 2/25.

Finally, Cohen Media Group has set Emanuele Crialese’s Terraferma for Blu-ray and DVD release on 1/14.
