We’ve also got a good piece of Blu-ray announcement news for you today... Shout! Factory has just officially revealed the cover artwork and details for their upcoming Blu-ray release of Freak and Geeks: The Complete Series (due on 3/22). The set will include all 18 episodes of the series in HD, each in both the original 1.33:1 TV broadcast ratio and also a new open-matte 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio. All of the bonus features from the 2004 and 2008 Yearbook Edition DVD releases will carry over too. Best of all, new special features have been created as well, with the participation of creators Paul Feig and Judd Apatow, as well as all of the main original cast members. We’ll have specific details on what’s new in the set over the next few days. Meanwhile, here’s a look at the final Blu-ray artwork. Click on the cover for the Amazon.com pre-order link – the set is selling for just $89.99 right now there (that’s 24% off the regular $119 SRP)...
As you can see, we’ve also included the just-released cover artwork for Kino’s upcoming Blu-ray editions of Fritz Lang’s Woman in the Moon and Spies, which are due on 2/23.
Back with more tomorrow. Stay tuned...
