So there you go. Replacement discs are already in production and we’ll let you know when they start shipping.
Meanwhile, it’s come to our attention that there’s a similar “master assembly” error on Warner Archive’s new Victor Victoria Blu-ray. During the Shady Dame from Seville number, there’s apparently a shot missing that’s been replaced instead with an accidentally repeated shot of Victoria. We’re checking with the Archive, but in the meantime we suggest you privately message them via their Facebook page to report the issue. [Editor’s Note: The Archive has asked us to ask you to please not make public posts on their Facebook page – use the messaging feature on the page to contact them privately instead. They’re aware of the problem with this title and will have a statement shortly.]
Speaking of Warner Archive, they’ve just announced the forthcoming Blu-ray release of Silk Stockings (1957). Street date is TBA.
Also today, HBO has set Veep: The Complete Fifth Season for Blu-ray and DVD on 9/20.
Disney has set Once Upon a Time: The Complete Fifth Season for Blu-ray and DVD on 8/16.
And AMC has set Hell on Wheels: The Complete Fifth Season for Blu-ray and DVD on 8/16 as well.
Finally today, Kino Lorber has announced that they’re working on the Blu-ray and DVD release of No Retreat, No Surrender (1986), Luna (1979), and The Park is Mine (1985). Street date for all is TBA.
Stay tuned…
