For those who may be wondering, 12 Monkeys will include a new restoration from a 4K scan of the original negative by Arrow Films, approved by director Terry Gilliam, and presented with both Dolby Vision and HDR10 high dynamic range.
You can read more about all of these titles here on the Arrow Video website. Here’s a look at the full slate with cover artwork...
One other note today: We’ve mentioned in recent days here at The Bits that David Fincher’s Panic Room is finally coming to 4K Ultra HD—and hopefully remastered Blu-ray too—in 2022. Retail sources had originally suggested a late March street date, but our industry sources are now telling us to expect the title sometime later in the year, probably more likely this summer. So adjust your plans accordingly. You can certainly expect that Sony will make a big deal with their official announcement of the title in the months ahead.
Also, Kino Lorber Studio Classics has set Alain Jessua’s Armageddon (1976) for release on Blu-ray on 4/5.
That’s all for now. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you back here on Monday!
