Juice: 25th, Homeland: S6, A Cure for Wellness, Billy Jack Collection, TJ Hooker: Complete, Pelle the Conqueror & more

All right, it looks like the site is finally up and working again, and it seems fairly stable. We’re continuing to make some tweaks to improve the performance, but it appears that things are starting getting back to normal here at The Bits at last. For the next couple of days, however, we’re going to keep the posts fairly simple just to make sure. So let’s have an release news update...

In new announcements today, Paramount Home Entertainment has just revealed that they’re releasing a new Juice: 25th Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray on 6/6.

Amazon is now taking pre-orders for Homeland: The Complete Sixth Season on Blu-ray and DVD from 20th Century Fox with the street date TBA. [Read on here…]

Speaking of 20th Century Fox, the studio has officially set A Cure for Wellness for Blu-ray and DVD release on 6/6.

Shout! Factory has announced another new Shout Select Blu-ray release due on 7/25 – Billy Jack: The Complete Collection, which will include Born Losers, Billy Jack, The Trial of Billy Jack, and Billy Jack Goes to Washington. Shout has also set Scorchy for BD release that day as well. Another Shout Select title, A Shock to the System, is due on Blu-ray on 7/4. Shout! also has the IFC Midnight title Sex Doll due on 7/11 and Windows due on 7/4.

While we’re talking Shout!, the company is releasing some interesting DVD titles as well, including T.J. Hooker: The Complete Series on 7/18 (SRP $79.97). Father Knows Best: Season Five is due on 4/11, followed by Simon & Simon: Season Five on 5/9, Heart to Heart: The Complete Series on 5/30, Home Movies: The Complete Series on 6/27, Homicide: Life on the Street on 7/4, and Diff’rent Strokes: Season Six and Police Story: Season Two on 7/25.

Scream Factory has set Slither: Collector’s Edition for Blu-ray release on 7/25. They also have the Species: Collector’s Edition due on Blu-ray on 7/11.

AMC’s Humans: Series Two looks like it’s now been set for Blu-ray and DVD release on 10/31 from Acorn Media.

AGFA (the American Genre Film Archive) and Something Weird Video has set Tom Hanson’s The Zodiac Killer for Blu-ray release on 7/25.

If you’ve ever wanted to see Navy Seals vs Demons in HD, Video Music Inc will be happy to accommodate you on 6/13.

Universal will release the action film Collide on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/30.

Here’s something nice: Film Movement Classics has set a 30th Anniversary restoration of Billie August’s Pelle the Conqueror for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/30. The film stars Max von Sydow.

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has revealed more new titles “coming soon”, including Duel in the Sun (1946), Manhandled (1924), and Stage Struck (1925) on Blu-ray and DVD, and Death Rides a Horse (1967) on BD only.

And Twilight Time is now taking pre-orders on the Blu-ray release of The Fortune Cookie (1966), Another Woman (1988), You’ll Never Get Rich (1941), and How to Steal a Million (1966). The official release date for all four titles is 4/28.

Finally today, there are a couple of good Amazon deals to worth mentioning today. Seinfeld: The Complete Series is just $54.99 (regularly $81.87), The Three Stooges: Ultimate Collection is just $43.69 (regularly $64.96), Better Call Saul: Season One is just $14.65 on BD, and Better Call Saul: Season Two is just $24.99 on BD (regularly $37.99).
