In other news, Blue Underground has revealed that their forthcoming 4K Ultra HD release of Bob Clark’s Deathdream (1974)—aka Dead of Night—has been pushed back into 2024. The company had hoped to release it by Halloween of this year, but technical issues with the 4K master have made them decide to start the remastering work from scratch. Adjust your plans accordingly.
Mubi will be releasing their first 4K Ultra HD title on 10/14 with Park Chan-wook’s Decision to Leave (2022). A Blu-ray version will also street that same day.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment is releasing another pair of Universal Essentials Collection 4K + BD editions on 10/31, including Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List (1993) and John Landis’ Animal House (1978). According to Target, Sony’s long out-of-print 4K Ultra HD Steelbook edition of Lawrence of Arabia (1962) is supposedly coming back into stock via online retailers on 9/26. But it’s not up yet for pre-order on Amazon, Target’s pre-orders are sold out already, and Best Buy doesn’t show a new version at all. We’ll ask the studio about this one and see if we can figure out what’s happening with it, because we know a lot of you would love to get your hands on a copy.
Finally, we may have mentioned this before, but the Gerry Anderson Store now has all-region Blu-ray copies of Roberta Leigh’s Space Patrol: The Complete Series (1962) in stock (SRP $55) via this link. The 4-disc set includes all 39 episodes remastered from original film elements in HD. This was one of the first shows to utilize Anderson’s trademark Supermarionation technique. All right, we’ll leave you with a look at some of the cover artwork mentioned above, again with Amazon pre-order links if available...
