In other news today, Indicator Films has unfortunately had to cancel their planned Ishtar Blu-ray release due to a rights or legal issue of some kind. You can see their announcement here.

And here’s great news for anime fans: FUNimation has just announced the Blu-ray release of Robotech later this year! Robotech: Part 1 – The Macross Saga will arrive as a 5-disc set on 9/28 (SRP $52.49), with Part 2 – The Masters Saga and Part 3 – The New Generation volumes to follow. Or, if you’re a Robotech superfan, you can just buy the complete Robotech: Collector’s Edition box set on 9/28 (SRP $249.98), which includes all 85 episodes on three volumes (12 BD discs) along with 7 hours of special features, a set of 4 patches, an exclusive Roy Fokker action figure, and Roy Fokker’s VF-1S transforming Veritech. You can see the cover artwork below and each image takes you to the respective FUNimation pre-order page for that title.

Finally today, Lionsgate has set Spiral: From the Book of Saw for Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD release on 7/20. The 4K/Blu-ray package comes in a Steelbook case. You can pre-order that below on Amazon along with the recent Criterion September Blu-ray titles...
