First up, Warner Home Video has announced a new JFK: 50 Year Commemorative Ultimate Edition Blu-ray box set release of Oliver Stone’s JFK due on 11/12 (SRP $59.99). The 50 years obviously refers to the anniversary of Kennedy’s death in November 1963. New extras in the set will appear to include the JFK Remembered: 50 Years Later documentary and also the classic film PT-109 on DVD for the first time ever. The 1964 John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightning, Day of Drums documentary has also been remastered for inclusion in the set. All of the previous extras will also carry over, including audio commentary by Stone, deleted and extended scenes, the alternate ending and much more. The packaging will also include a 32-page book or quotations, a reproduction of JFK’s Inaugural Address, 20 photos and 16 pieces of correspondence reproduced for the set from the JFK Presidential Library, a 44-page photo book and 6 character cards from the film.
