Also today, PBS Distribution has announced the 3/27 DVD and digital release of a Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood: It’s a Beautiful Day Collection (SRP $19.99). The DVD is a 4-disc set that will include 32 of the series’ best episodes (some 928 minutes of content in all).
On the digital only front, Kino Lorber has revealed that it’s making Bill Moyers’ classic documentary series Joseph Campbell and The Power of Myth available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo, and on Kino Lorber’s own Alive Mind Cinema website and www.PowerofMyth.net starting today.

And for UK readers, Fabulous Films has announced that they’re going to be releasing the complete NBC/Universal TV series 30 Rock on Blu-ray in the months ahead, starting with 30 Rock: Season 1 on 4/9 (SRP £29.99). Previously, the series has only been available on DVD and digital. All 21 episodes will be included. This set is likely to be Region B only, but we’ll work to confirm that.
Finally today, back to 4K for a moment: Our retail and industry sources are confirming something we’ve already reported here on The Bits in recent weeks, which is that Paramount will be releasing all of the Mission: Impossible films on 4K Ultra HD this summer, in anticipation of the theatrical release of Mission: Impossible – Fallout in July. Again, watch for official announcements in the weeks ahead.
What’s more, we’ve heard from our sources that it’s likely the Rambo films – First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988), and Rambo (2008) – will all be coming to the format from Lionsgate before the end of the year. Of course, we’ve updated our 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned...
