Some announcement news today...
The BBC has set Ripper Street: Season Two for Blu-ray and DVD release on 4/15 (SRP $34.98 and $29.98). Extras include the Beneath Ripper Street documentary. Season Three begins filming in May.
New Video Group will release the animated Ernest & Celestine on Blu-ray/DVD Combo on 6/10 (SRP $34.95).
Anchor Bay has set Law Abiding Citizen, The Evil Dead, The Lords of Salem, Killing Them Softly, and Lawless for Steelbook-packaged Blu-ray release on 5/20. Anchor Bay has also set Magic City: The Complete Series on Blu-ray on 5/13.
Oliver Films has set the John Wayne classic Flying Tigers (1942) for Blu-ray release on 5/13, along with Home of the Brave (1949). Look also for Love Happy (1949) and Johnny Come Lately (1943) on 5/6.
And here’s something interesting for you fans of The Police: Andy Summers has produced a documentary on the history of the band and its recent reunion tour. It’s called Can’t Stand Losing You: Surviving The Police and Entertainment One is distributing it. There’s already a Japanese Blu-ray and DVD release planned for 5/27 (which can be import pre-ordered at this link).
