47 Ronin – Keanu as a half-breed savior to the world of martial arts with plenty of green screen. The promos for this looked awesome, but many who saw it were left a bit underwhelmed. I’m going to give it a shot however.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues – Who doesn’t love the first film? Satanists and people who don’t like America, that’s who. I may be over-generalizing, but then again, maybe not.
At Middleton – Norma Bates and her hot little sister star with Andy Garcia in this meet-cute love story set during a college tour. Shrug. I’ll watch it because I like Vera and Taissa Farmiga. But not because of Garcia. Fie on him.
The Bag Man – Jesus John Cusack has a knack for starting in concepts that look awesome on paper but when produced suuuuuuuuuuck. I’m hopeful that this is a u-turn for him, because this neo-noir looks pretty neat.
Clint Eastwood Blu-ray Reissues: Joe Kidd and Two Mules for Sister Sara – Two solid Eastwood westerns are getting the upgrade this week. Kidd is great, but Sara has her charms too. Split the difference and pick them both up.
King Kong Escapes and King Kong vs. Godzilla – The first of the Godzilla Blu-ray upgrades peaks its head out of the mire this week. Pretty much a must won for my library. King Kong Escapes is eh, but I’ll mention it just because.
Knights of Badassdom – I know nothing of this but damn it has my interest peeked. This looks so effin’ awesome.
John Wayne Blu-ray Reissues: Rooster Cogburn and The War Wagon – Eastwood was the yang to Wayne’s ying, so it’s only fitting he get a couple Blu-ray upgrades this week. Rooster is a fun follow-up to True Grit and War Wagon is a classic.
The Pirate Fairy – Disney’s Tinker Bell series gets a new entry, this one featuring Christina Hendricks and Tom Hiddleston.
That’s it for this week. Hope you like the new format. Next week we’ll be looking at some more good stuff.
