Also, Disney has announced that their live-action Mulan, which was delayed from its original March theatrical release by the pandemic, is going to debut on Disney+ in the States even as it bows theatrically elsewhere around the world. But there’s a catch: It’ll cost $29.99 to rent. Then, eventually, the film will arrive on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD. You can read more here on Vox.
And finally, we’ve recommended the excellent Team Deakins podcast here at The Bits before, but Roger and James have just posted their best one yet: They’ve got an 82-minute conversation with their most frequent collaborator, director Joel Coen. Fans will be well aware that the Coen Brothers don’t do audio commentary, so this is a rare chance to hear the filmmaker discussing his work. And it’s as much of a treat as you might expect. Don’t miss it.
We’ll leave you with a look at the cover artwork for a few big upcoming titles. All are now available for pre-order on Amazon.com by clicking on the covers...
