The big news today is that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray Combo and DVD release of The Monuments Men on 5/20 (SRP $40.99 and $30.99). Extras will include 4 featurettes (A Woman Amongst the Monuments Men, In Their Own Words, All Star Epic, and George Clooney’s Mission) and deleted scenes.
Also, Paramount has announced the Blu-ray Combo and digital release of Labor Day on 4/29. Extras will include commentary by director Jason Reitman, director of photography Eric Steelberg and first assistant director/co-producer Jason Blumenfeld, the End of Summer: Making Labor Day featurette, and deleted scenes.
Meanwhile, Fox has confirmed Revenge of the Nerds, Bachelor Party, and Weekend at Bernie’s for BD release on 5/6.
The BBC has announced that their forthcoming Doctor Who: An Adventure in Space and Time Blu-ray and DVD release (due on 5/27) will include the very first Doctor Who story – An Unearthly Child – in its entirety. Also included will be deleted scenes, reconstructions, 3 featurettes (The Pitch of Fear, The Making of the Adventure, and William Hartnell: The Original).
CBS has set Unforgettable: The Second Season for DVD only release on 6/24.
Get this: Amazon.com is already taking pre-orders on Darren Aronofsky’s Noah from Paramount. No street date yet.
And Magnolia will release Fracknation on Blu-ray on 6/24 (SRP $29.98).
