This is just a very quick early post – we’ll be back later this morning with our usual news update.

But we do have a bit of Star Wars related Blu-ray news that we thought was certainly worth mentioning right away. [Read on here…]

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Blu-ray Disc)Force Awakens editors Mary Jo Markey and Maryann Brandon have confirmed to the U.K. newspaper The Independent that the upcoming Blu-ray release will include 7 deleted scenes among its other bonus features. You can read more here. Apparently, this is part of a larger interview going live on the site on Friday. We suspect the official Blu-ray announcement is due in the next week or so, possibly even Friday or Monday, so we should know a lot more very soon. Retail sources still tell us the street date will be 4/5.

Meanwhile, you can pre-order the Blu-ray now by clicking on the temp cover artwork shown on the left.

Back with more later! Stay tuned...
