Here’s the Major League 4K Ultra HD Steelbook...
Here’s a look at the open packaging for Primal Fear in 4K...
And here’s the 2D cover artwork for the wide 4K release of Major League, as well as Primal Fear, and Scream’s The Ring Collection in 4K (street date 3/19), all of which are now available for pre-order on Amazon…
Also today: Lucasfilm has just announced a new live-action Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian & Grogu, which will be directed by Jon Favreau. That’s expected to go into production later this year (release date TBA). You can read more here at Variety. This is good news, I suppose, but at this point I’ll believe it when I see it. (I’m still waiting for the Patty Jenkins Rogue Squadron film that was announced then never released—Disney’s Lucasfilm has an unfortunate history of teasing projects they never deliver.)
But on a related note, Lucasfilm has also confirmed that Ahsoka: Season 2 is now in development. You can read that story at Variety today as well. (Though to be honest, at this point I’m much more interested in Andor: Season Two.)
And finally this afternoon: Tom Cruise has officially signed a new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery to produce and develop new blockbuster-grade film content for theatrical release. This is apparently a non-exclusive arrangement, something that will work in addition to his existing arrangements with Paramount and Universal. Again, more here at Variety.
Okay, that’s all for today. (I think!)
Stay tuned…
