Mario Boucher is an experienced writer/editor and regular Contributor to The Digital Bits, who joined the site’s staff in 2011. His Inside Cinema column focuses on “behind the screen” stories, features that reveal some of the magic created for movies, and also, how movies reflect our world.

Mario is a major film buff who’s thankful his parents let him watch all the classics, even horror and science-fiction. Mario studied film at York University in Toronto before earning a degree in English. He became a journalist and began writing everything from theatre and movie reviews and business, sports and entertainment stories for a number of different newspapers, magazines and websites. An avid hockey fan, he was thrilled to meet and interview players from his two favorite teams, the Calgary Flames, for his very first article in& Clik Magazine, and recently, the Los Angeles Kings, after their championship victories. Currently, Mario is a full-time production scheduler at a media company as well as writing and editing content for many websites. A resident of Los Angeles, he is also the co-creator of The Gaffoos, an original graphic novel and website for young (and older) readers.
