Now then… we’ve got more new and recent title announcements for you today, starting with word that Lionsgate has just set Len Wiseman’s From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (2025) for release on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and 4K Steelbook format on 9/9. There will be a wide-release 4K edition, plus Walmart and Amazon-exclusive 4K Steelbooks. Extras will include The Making of Ballerina, Building a Frozen Underworld, The Art of Action, and Deleted & Extended Scenes. Look for the 4Ks to include Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos audio. Now then, the big release news today is that Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has just officially announced a 4K title we first told you has been in the works since 2021. And though it was delayed by developments around the planned sequel (which is now expected to start shooting in 2025), we can finally report that Francis Lawrence’s Constantine (2005) is officially coming to 4K Ultra HD and 4K Digital on 2/18! All right, we have more news for you today. But first, a review...

I did indeed post my thoughts on Zhang Yimou’s Shadow in 4K last night from Well Go USA, and darned if it isn’t pretty spectacular. It’s a slow burn study in contrasts and well worth your time. You can check it out here.

Now then, Universal has officially announced the Blu-ray, DVD, and Ultra HD release of Danny Boyle’s Yesterday on 9/24, with the Digital release expected on 9/10. The 4K will include HDR10 and HDR10+ high dynamic range, with Dolby Atmos audio. The Blu-ray will also include Dolby Atmos audio. Extras on both will include audio commentary with director Danny Boyle and writer/producer Richard Curtis, an alternate opening, an alternate ending, 12 deleted scenes, a gag reel, a 3-song Live at Abbey Road Studios session with Himesh Patel (performing Yesterday, I Want to Hold Your Hand, and Let it Be), and 6 featurettes (Ed Sheeran: From Stadium to Screen, Agent of Comedy: Kate McKinnon, A Talented Duo, Playing for Real, Soul Mates, and A Conversation with Richard & Ed).
