Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release The Climb on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 1/19.
Shout! Factory and GKids are releasing a pair of their Studio Ghibli animated films in new Steelbook Blu-ray editions on 3/16, including The Cat Returns and Whisper of the Heart. They also have On-Gaku: Our Sound due on Blu-ray on 3/9.
Well Go USA has set Choi Jae-hoon’s South Koran historical actioner The Swordsman for release on Blu-ray and Digital on 2/16.
Lionsgate will release The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/16, featuring actor/comedian Paul Hogan as himself, along with John Cleese, Chevy Chase, Olivia Newton-John, and Jacob Elordi. The studio has also announced Love, Weddings & Other Disasters for Blu-ray and DVD on 2/2.
Kino Lorber has revealed its February 2021 slate of Blu-ray and DVD titles (for its own and distributed labels), which is set to include Nationtime (BD and DVD), Survivor Skills (DVD), and The Great Alligator (BD) on 2/2, Devil Times Five (BD), Devil’s Express (BD), Jazz on a Summer’s Day (BD and DVD), and Billie (DVD) on 2/9, Bordertown: Season 2 (BD and DVD), Man with a Movie Camera (BD), The Unseen (BD), and Slithis (BD) on 2/16, and You Never Had It: An Evening with Bukowski (DVD), Port of Freedom (BD), and 7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story (DVD) on 2/23.
Screen Media will release the thriller Girls on DVD on 1/5.
Shudder and RLJE Films have set The Cleansing Hour for DVD and Digital HD release on 1/19.
RLJE will also release Spiral on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/19.
And 4Digital Media is releasing The Village in the Woods on DVD and Digital on 1/19 as well.
Meanwhile, CAV and Grindhouse are releasing The Swimmer on Blu-ray on 1/26, complete with Marvin Hamlish’s newly-restored soundtrack on CD.
And MPI Media Group, Darren Wadyko Media, and Albets Enterprises will release Betty White’s Pet Set: The Complete Series on DVD and Digital on 2/23.
In other news today, don’t forget that you Roku users now have access to the HBO Max app on your streaming devices today. If you already had the HBO app installed, it should now automatically update to HBO Max when you login.

And sadly (also in keeping with the Star Wars theme), we’re very sorry to learn today that actor Jeremy Bulloch has died. He was, of course, the first actor to play Boba Fett in live action (in Empire). He also appeared in a number of Bond films, as well as episodes of Doctor Who and Robin of Sherwood. Jeremy was 75.
