In news from around the Net today, don’t forget Trek fans that at some point before the end of the day, the full 20-minute Prelude to Axanar documentary film will be available for viewing in HD over at the Star Trek: Axanar Kickstarter page. I think you’ll be surprised when you see it. It’s pretty impressive. [Editor’s Note: It’s now live. Just click to the page and scroll down a tiny bit. Make sure to watch in HD and full screen.]

Here at The Bits today, our own Russell Hammond has posted the weekly update of the Release Dates & Artwork section featuring all the latest Blu-ray and DVD cover artwork and Amazon.com pre-order links. In these difficult economic times, with the home video industry trending towards downloads and away from physical media, your support of The Bits through Amazon purchases via our affiliate links is more important than ever in terms of keeping the site and our BD/DVD coverage going on your behalf. So please do keep that in mind when considering a purchase of virtually anything from Amazon. Just make sure to click through one of our Amazon links first (any of our cover art links, the Artwork section, or the Amazon buttons on the home page). We really do appreciate it.
