Blu-ray News – Kingsman due 6/9, plus new TCM Greatest DVD sets, Vampire Hunter D, Eaten Alive & more

In announcement news today, the big news is that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has set Kingman: The Secret Service for Blu-ray and DVD release on 6/9, with a digital release due on 5/15. Extras on the Blu-ray will include the 6-part Kingsman: The Secret Service Revealed documentary (includes Panel to Screen: The Education of a 21st Century Super-Spy, Heroes and Rogues, Style All His Own, Tools of the Trade, Breathtakingly Brutal, and Culture Clash: The Comic Book Origins of the Secret Service), plus galleries with behind-the-scenes images and photos of sets and props.

Also today, Warner has just announced a pair of new TCM Greatest Classic Film DVD Collections for release on 8/4 (SRP  $27.92 each), including Charlie Chan and Ester Williams: Volume 2. The former will include Dark Alibi (1946), Dangerous Money (1946), The Trap (1946), and The Chinese Ring (1947). The latter will include Thrill of a Romance (1945), Fiesta (1947), Pagan Love Song (1950), and Million Dollar Mermaid (1952).

Lionsgate will release Beyond the Reach on Blu-ray, DVD and digital on 6/16, starring Michael Douglas.

Kino Lorber has set Dan Curtis’ Burnt Offerings (1976) for release on Blu-ray and DVD in October, just in time from Halloween. It will feature a new HD master.

Section 23 has set Vampire Hunter D for Blu-ray release on 8/25, along with Kamigami No Asobi. They also have Hayate the Combat Butler: Season 1 coming to Blu-ray on 8/18, along with Haikyu!! Collection 2 and Captain Earth: Collection 2 on 8/11. Also, Space Brothers: Collection 4 is due on 8/4.

Arrow Video has set Tobe Hooper’s Eaten Alive for Blu-ray/DVD Combo release on 7/28. The company also has Stray Cat Rock: The Collection coming on Blu-ray/DVD Combo on 7/14.

FUNimation will release 009 Re: Cyborg for Blu-ray release on 7/28.

Well Go USA will release Kung Fu Killer on Blu-ray on 7/21.

Anchor Bay Entertainment will release the documentary Champs on DVD on 5/12, featuring Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and Bernard Hopkins.

And finally Film Chest Media Group will release Amazing Space, a 3-disc Blu-ray/DVD/CD Combo celebrating 25 years of the Hubble Space Telescope, featuring HD imagery accompanied by a soundtrack from Kristin Hoffman.
