Before we get started today, I wanted to say a big word of congratulations to my fellow Team Axanar members and friends, who won the Geekie Award last night in L.A. for Best Short Film for Prelude to Axanar! You can read my Blu-ray review of the film here (it’s now available for just $35 via the link in the review). If you guys think Prelude is great, just wait until you see what we’re cooking up for the full Axanar feature film next year!

Now then... we’re closing out the week with one more Halloween Hangover Blu-ray review for you: Tim’s look at the AIP Version of Mario Bava’s Black Sabbath (1963) from Kino Lorber. We’ve got a pair of new Blu-ray reviews for you all to enjoy today. First up, our own Tim Salmons has given Criterion’s recent edition of The Fisher King a look. Also, Jim Hemphill has turned in his thoughts on Kino Lorber’s forthcoming edition of Diggstown. Do give them a read.

Elsewhere here at The Bits today, Russell Hammond has posted the weekly update of the Release Dates & Artwork section with all the latest Blu-ray and DVD cover artwork and Amazon.com pre-order links. As always, a portion of anything you order from Amazon through our links goes to help support our work here at The Bits and we greatly appreciate it!  [Read on here…]
