We’ll come back to that in a moment. First, speaking of the Bugs Bunny’s 80th Anniversary, here’s a tease of the cover artwork for their upcoming Blu-ray release celebrating the character. This comes from a French retail website, and we know nothing about the contents yet, but again we expect all the details to be revealed at Warner’s panel tomorrow afternoon. Here’s the art...
Speaking of which, Comic-Con at Home officially kicks off today. And since we can’t all make the trip to San Diego for the convention this year, all of the panels will be broadcast online on YouTube. The programming schedule is available here, with the first panels today becoming available on the Comic-Con at Home YouTube channel starting at 3 PM Pacific. Warner has their panels, there’s an official Star Trek panel, the Inglorious Treksperts will have one, my friend Kevin Grazier is hosting a Hollyweird Science panel—there’s lots to choose from. So we hope you all enjoy them.
And finally today, here’s a nice surprise: Paramount has just listed a ton of new catalog Blu-ray titles—many either long out of print or coming for the very first time on the format—for release on 9/15 with an SRP of just $9.99 each. They include The Phantom (1996), Timeline (2003), Barefoot in the Park (1967), Uncommon Valor (1983), The Two Jakes (1990), and The Sons of Katie Elder (1965).
All are now available for pre-order on Amazon.com, along with the recently announced Roman Holiday (1953), so here are those links along with the cover artwork for each...
The Flintstones: The Complete Series isn’t yet available for pre-order, but we’ll add that link when it goes live.
By the way, that is the official cover artwork for Discotek’s forthcoming Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro – 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD release, which is yet to be dated but is currently in production for release before the end of 2020. Look for it to include everything that was on the company’s previous 2015 Blu-ray, with the addition of 4K resolution and HDR. Again, we’ll add the Amazon link when it goes live.
And that’s all for now. Enjoy the virtual con, and stay tuned...!
