All right, we’re closing out the week with just a couple of items for you…

First up, we’ve posted a trio of new reviews for you including Tim’s look at Stuart Gordon’s Dagon from Umbrella Entertainment, David’s take on Harry Levin’s Genghis Khan (1965) from Twilight Time, and Dennis’ thoughts on Dark Crimes from Lionsgate, all three on Blu-ray.

We now have official final cover artwork for Universal’s The Big Lebowski on 4K Ultra HD. It’s due on 10/16 and it will feature a native 4K scan of the film with DTS-X object based audio. It will also include the previous Blu-ray edition, with all its extras, and a digital copy. You can pre-order it now on Amazon by clicking on the artwork below.

Side note about Universal… the company appears to be reissuing a whole bunch of catalog titles on Blu-ray throughout the month of October. Deep catalog stuff. So if you’ve missed any titles, you’ll probably find that a new edition is coming then. [Read on here...]

Also, we have word from retail sources that Lionsgate will release The Spy Who Dumped Me on 10/30 on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD. We’ve updated the 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits accordingly.

Amazon.com is now taking pre-orders for CBS’ Star Trek: Discovery – Season One on Blu-ray and DVD with a street date of 11/13, and we have what looks to be official cover artwork for that as well. Again, you can find it below (and click on it to visit the Amazon pre-order page). Amazon currently has the price listed at $47.77. There’s no sign yet of a 4K version.

MVD has set Art School Confidential for release on Blu-ray on 10/9.

AGFA and Something Weird are releasing Ed Wood’s Take It Out in Trade on Blu-ray on 11/13.

Arrow Video has set The Wizard of Gore for release on Blu-ray on 11/13. They also have a new version of Sergio Martino’s Torso coming on 10/30. Look for them to release Jim Van Bebber’s Deadbeat at Dawn on Blu-ray on 10/23. All this is in addition to 12 Monkeys and Schlock on Blu-ray on 10/13.

Image Entertainment is releasing a WolfCop Wolfpack on Blu-ray that includes WolfCop and Another WolfCop on 10/2. So there you go.

Kino Lorber will release Sydney Pollack’s final film The Interpreter (2005) on Blu-ray and DVD later this year as part of their Studio Classics line. Street date is TBA. Also coming soon is Harold Ramis’ The Ice Harvest (2005). They’re also releasing Cut and Run (1985) on Blu-ray from Code Red.

Here’s a look at the cover art for some of the titles mentioned above. Click to pre-orde them on Amazon…

And that’s all for this week. We’ve got lots more reviews coming for you next week, including Blu-ray titles from the whole team and I’ll have a bunch of new 4K reviews as well.

Have a great weekend!
