We’ve got another new disc review for you this morning...

Tim has taken a look at Peter Medak’s The Changeling (1980) on 4K Ultra HD from the good people of Severin Films.

And we have update on a few titles we’ve been talking about in recent days here at The Bits as well..

First, let’s talk Rocky in 4K Ultra HD... we’ve now learned that the first four films will be available in single-film 4K UHD Steelbooks at Best Buy, while other retailers will carry the 4-film Rocky: The Knockout Collection 4K Ultra HD box set on 2/28. This set will include Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, and Rocky IV in both the original theatrical cut and Stallone’s new Rocky vs. Drago: The Ultimate Director’s Cut. You can see the cover artwork at left. [Read on here...]

You’ll also get a Blu-ray bonus disc with special features from the first film, as well as the recent The Making of Rocky vs. Drago: Keep Punching documentary. Audio for all the discs will be included in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio format, and all of the films will feature Dolby Vision HDR.

As for why Rocky V and Rocky Balboa aren’t included, Stallone is apparently working on new cuts of those films as well, which won’t be ready until later in 2023. So it’s very likely that those films are forthcoming on 4K Ultra HD as well, in the months ahead.

We’ve also got an update on Matthew Robbins’ Dragonslayer (1981) for you today, a title that’s been available for pre-order on Amazon for a few weeks now. At last, we have the final and official cover artwork for all three SKUs, Blu-ray, wide-release 4K Ultra HD, and 4K Ultra HD Steelbook. You can see them below.

The 4K will include both Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, as well as a new audio commentary with Matthew Robbins and Guillermo del Toro, Screen Test footage, the new The Slayer of All Dragons featurette, and the film’s original trailer.

One last news update today: Kino Lorber Studio Classics has revealed that it’s working on a new Blu-ray release of Jack Arnold’s The Glass Web (1953), starring Edward G. Robinson, John Forsythe, Kathleen Hughes, Marcia Henderson, and Richard Denning. The film will be available in both 2D and 3D thanks to a new restoration by our friends at The 3-D Film Archive. There’s no street date yet, but the title is “coming soon.” We’ll post updates when we have them.

Now then… here’s a look at the cover artwork for Dragonslayer in all three 4K configurations as well as Rocky: The Knockout Collection. All of these titles are available for pre-order on Amazon by clicking on the images below...
