Warner Archive is treating us to a few Most Wanted picks this week, throwing a long overdue spotlight on Clark Gable. All right, we’ll start the new week with a smattering of additional Blu-ray and DVD release news...
First up, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has set The Lunch Box for Blu-ray release on 7/1. Extras will include an audio commentary with writer/director Ritesh Batra.
Cinedigm will release Godfrey Reggio’s Visitors on Blu-ray Combo and digital on 6/10. Composer Philip Glass produced the film’s score. [Read on here…]
Disney delivers a big August slate of catalog animated BDs, plus 300: Rise of an Empire & WKRP!
To round out the week today, our own Tim Salmons has checked with one more Blu-ray review for you: Conrack (1974) as originally released by Fox and now available on disc in HD via Twilight Time. Enjoy!
All right, the big news today is that Walt Disney Home Entertainment has just delivered on the classic catalog animation front as we expected them to: The studio has just officially set The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad: Special Edition, the Bedknobs and Broomsticks: Special Edition, the Hercules: Special Edition, the Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers – 10th Anniversary Edition, and the Tarzan: Special Edition for Blu-ray/DVD Combo release on 8/12 (SRP $29.99 each). In addition, Disney has also just officially set the Sleeping Beauty: Diamond Edition for Blu-ray Combo release on 10/7 ($36.99). All right, we’ve got a pretty good Rumor Mill-style update for you guys today, with mostly positive (but as-yet-unofficial) future release news.
First though, a couple of actual title announcements...
Scream Factory has set The Legend of Hell House for Blu-ray release on 8/26, along with Leviathan on 8/19. Meanwhile, Without Warning and Phantom of the Paradise are set for 8/5.
And Warner Home Video has set JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time for DVD release on 5/20, followed by The Adventures of Batman on DVD on 6/3. [Read on here...]

Tim Salmons has turned in a pair of new Blu-ray releases for you to enjoy this afternoon, including Scream Factory’s Crawlspace (1986) and Summit/Lionsgate’s recent The Legend of Hercules (a Blu-ray 3D/2D Combo). “Hercules! Hercules! Hercules!” Sorry, couldn’t resist the Clumps reference. LOL.
In announcement news today, Lionsgate has set Jonathan Glazer’s Under the Skin for Blu-ray and DVD release on 7/15. We can’t wait for that release. [Read on here…]
