All right, we’re waiting on a number of 4K Ultra HD review titles to come in any time now, including The Patriot, Fury, Red Sparrow, and the Jurassic Park set. While we do, we’ve got some release and announcement news for you...

First up, it appears that the official street date for Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles in 4K Ultra HD is 6/5 and not 6/12. We expect the official press release to go out any time now and we’ll post the details as soon as it does. So adjust your plans accordingly.

Also today, Shout! Factory has announced that review product for their recent Wild at Heart: Shout Select Blu-ray release had a manufacturing error that’s now being corrected for the actual retail product. This means that the street date for the title has been moved from 5/22 to 8/21. Adjust your plans accordingly. [Read on here...]

Here’s something awesome: Jerry Beck’s excellent Cartoon Research website has just announced that Thunderbean Animation’s Fleischer Rarities Blu-ray is now available for order on Amazon.com and it’s just $15.95. It includes a bunch of great rare animated titles from the Fleischer Studios, including All Aboard for a Trip to the Moon (1920), Inklings #12, Snipshots (British release of an ’Inklings’ short), Christmas Seals Advertisement (1925), Koko Salutes (1925), My Old Kentucky Home (1925), It’s the Cat’s (1926; Weiss reissue version), Finding His Voice (1929 for Western Electric), Hurry Doctor (1931 for Texaco), Let’s Sing with Popeye (1933), Betty in Blunderland (1933), This Little Piggy Went to Market (1934), Dancing On the Moon (1935), Musical Mountaineers (1939), The Vacationer’s Paradise (1942), News Sketches (1944) and more, plus special features too. Not bad for a great sampler of early animated gems. You can read more here and you can order the disc here.

Now then... a number of our readers have asked us when Star Wars Rebels: Season Four is likely to be released on Blu-ray and DVD. And finally, while we’ve mentioned this on our social media pages already, we wanted to take a moment today to acknowledge the passing of actors Margot Kidder (best known as Lois Lane from Richard Donner’s Superman) and Joseph Campanella (a veteran character actor with over 200 credits), as well as writer Tom Wolfe (author of The Right Stuff, The Bonfire of the Vanities, and The Last American Hero). All will be missed. That’s all for now.

Margot Kidder, Joseph Campanella, Tom Wolfe... RIP

Stay tuned…
