We’re changing up the format a bit this week. Instead of a chart or list filed under headers, I’m just going to give you a list each week of 10 or less titles coming this week that look interesting and give you my quick thoughts. If I get stuff in advance I may even review it here.

This week’s column sees only a handful of titles but they are all great! I’m just going to go in alphabetical order and start the hit parade.

There’s an Oscar film, a Disney film (two actually, one is new the other is a DTV rerelease), a Troma film, a fabricated bio-pic, two 90s classic TV shows, a Morris doc and a Blu-ray release of one of cinema’s greatest films by one of the greatest filmmakers.

In announcement news today, Warner Home Video and TNT have set Falling Skies: The Complete Third Season for release on Blu-ray and DVD on 6/3 (SRP $49.99 and $39.98). Extras on the Blu-ray will include numerous behind the scenes featurettes, 2nd Watch hosted by Wil Wheaton and much more. [Read on here…]

Like I said last week – there isn’t too much of note coming this week.

Some good worthwhile stuff, and a few potential cult films – but, aside from the Coen’s new film, it’s a pretty blah week.
