IFC Films has set the recent remake of Maniac (starring Elijah Wood) for Blu-ray and DVD release on 10/15.  Extras will include audio commentary, a feature-length making of documentary, delete scenes, an alternate poster gallery and reversible cover artwork.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has just announced some new titles for release on 12/3 as part of their MOD DVD-R program, including Passions, Help Me, Darling, Anastasia (1973), The Belle of Broadway, Elizabeth Taylor: Auction of a Lifetime and Salvage 1: Hard Water.

Paramount and Comedy Central will release Bill Cosby: Far from Finished – Live in Concert on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/26.

Grindhouse Releasing has just released An American Hippie in Israel on Blu-ray/DVD combo in a limited edition of 2,000.  It’s available through Amazon.com and DiabolikDVD.com.

And for you Twilight fans, here’s something interesting from our friends at Collider: Director Bill Condon apparently created a “super cut” of Breaking Dawn: Parts 1 and 2.  It was something done for the director himself, but it’s not going to be included in the ultimate box set due this fall.  No word on when or if it might see the light of day, but you never know.

Finally today, do any of you live in the Philadelphia area?  The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville is going to be showing a 175-minute, 35mm restored Academy Archive print of Sergio Leone’s classic spaghetti western Once Upon a Time in the West on 9/29.  Trust us, that’s well worth going out of your way to experience.  You can find all the details here.

Here’s a look at the Blu-ray cover artwork for both version of Fox’s The Simpsons: The Sixteenth Season and Warner’s Shameless: The Complete Third Season...
