All right, there’s not a lot of release news to report here today, but we do have a couple more reviews for you...

Tim has checked in with his take on Shout! Factory’s Death Wish II: Special Edition as well as Umbrella Entertainment’s all-region Double Feature of Death Wish II and Death Wish 3.

Meanwhile, I’m working on a couple more 4K Ultra HD reviews, as well as reviews of GKids’ new first wave of Studio Ghibli BD releases. So watch for those to start appearing in over the next few days. [Read on here…]

An item of note here at the site: Logan Lucky, Despicable Me 3, and Jumanji are now all available for pre-order on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on Amazon, so I’ve updated our 4K Ultra HD Release List accordingly.

Finally, one last quick note today: We’d like to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of musician Tom Petty, he of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers fame and also the Traveling Wilburys and Mudcrutch (read more here at The New York Times). Tom wrote so many damn great songs that were part of the sonic tapestry of my youth, but I think “Don’t Do Me Like That” is the first track I ever heard, and this one (below) might be my favorite as it was an early MTV rotation staple. He’s gone far too soon, but he left us a helluva musical legacy. I’d say we all got lucky. Thank you, Tom. Rest in peace.

Stay tuned...
