All right, we’ve got your first look at what might be the cover artwork for Warner’s Superman: The Movie 4K Ultra HD release… by way of the official German retail cover artwork seen at left.

We know that the disc will include the theatrical version of the film in 4K, with Dolby Atmos audio.

There is also the possibility that the longer cuts will be included in the package on Blu-ray only.

The German street date is November 8, but we suspect it will be an October release here in the States.

We should know more soon, when Warner makes the official announcement, so stay tuned. [Read on here...]

By the way, also soon to be announced for 4K Ultra HD release… The Rambo Trilogy from Lionsgate. It’s currently set for 11/14 (or 14/11 for you guys across the pond) in France. No, we don’t know if there will be singles film SKUs yet.

And Scream Factory has set the 1995 Tobe Hooper, Robert Englund, and Steven King team up The Mangler for release on Blu-ray on 12/11. Extras are TBA. Scream is also attempting to get access to the unrated cut of the film, but that’s also TBD.

Finally today, we have three new Blu-ray reviews for you, including…

Tim’s take on Bruno Mattei’s Shocking Dark (1989) from Severin Films.

David’s look at Del Tenny’s The Horror of Party Beach (1964), also from Severin Films.

And Dennis offers his thoughts on Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, coming to Blu-ray from Criterion on 9/11.

Stay tuned…
