Bits BD Review - Jim Hemphill checks out Twilight's House of Bamboo http://t.co/kzbXaCuDbg
In announcement news today, we have just a couple of things for you...
20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has set The Other Woman for Blu-ray and DVD release on 7/29. Both versions will include a gag reel, a gallery of images, and something called Giggle Fit. The Blu-ray will exclusively add 8 deleted scenes.
And Paramount and MTV have set Awkward: Season Three for DVD only release on 8/5 (SRP $26.99), including webisodes, 5 featurettes (Awkward Aftershows, Fashion from Season 3, Guest Music Supervisors Tegan and Sara, Who Do I Want To Be, and It Gets Moderately Better), plus campaign videos, cast interviews, behind-the-scenes on the set, and more.
Not done yet... some of you have been asking why your Amazon.com pre-orders for select Warner Bros, Paramount catalog, Viz Media (and other Warner-distributed) titles have been suspended. We’ve learned through industry sources that Warner Home Video and Amazon.com are in the middle of negotiations on a new contract, so pre-orders on Warner titles have been suspended until a deal is reached. Hopefully, the situation will be resolved soon.
Finally today, you’ll recall that we told you a couple days about that TCM Shop has put together a new and improved version of The Lady from Shanghai on Blu-ray. Well, the good news is that there’s finally an exchange program for those who have already purchased the previous version. If you call TCM Shop at 888-982-6746 and tell them you’d like to exchange your copy, they’ll mail or e-mail you a prepaid label that will let you send back the old Blu-ray (case, discs and all). TCM will then send you the corrected version in exchange. Note that they’re going to ask you for your original order number, so be sure to have it handy. Thanks to Bits reader John H. for the update.
Here’s a look at the Blu-ray cover artwork for Fox’s The Other Woman, Sony’s Jodorowsky’s Dune (due 7/8), and Universal’s The Flintstones (due 8/19)...
That’s all for now. Stay tuned!
