Finally today, I wanted to point you all to a worthy Kickstarter. Are any of you familiar with Chris Gore’s Film Threat? Of course you are! Chris launched the Film Threat website way back in 1996 to share his love of film with the world, including an entire generation of online movie fans. He also regularly appeared (as did I) on G4’s Attack of the Show to talk about the same. Film Threat had a major impact on the film industry, helping to promote the early careers of many a fledgling filmmaker, including some of the biggest names making Hollywood blockbusters today. Unfortunately, running an entertainment website is expensive and costs are going up all the time. There’s writing, staff and admin costs, server and bandwidth costs, sometimes out-of-pocket travel, product and hardware costs needed to cover this stuff properly. Hell, cyber security costs alone have skyrocketed in the last couple years, and all as advertising revenue continues to dwindle. All of this means it’s tough for truly independent websites to keep going, without charging a subscription fee for access or junking the sites up with sponsored fake content, annoying pop-ups and the like. Now, I’ve known Chris for a very long time. In fact, we just spoke about these issues on Saturday at Wonder-Con. The point is, if you love Film Threat, and appreciate what the site has done for you as a film fan over these last 19 years, head on over to Chris’ Kickstarter to help keep the site going for many more years to come.

All right, here’s some more new Blu-ray cover artwork, with clickable image links to pre-order the titles on Amazon (which helps US keep going!)...

Stay tuned...
