All three versions will include a pair of extras: The Apollo 11: Discovering the 65 mm featurette and the film’s theatrical trailer. The aspect ratio is the correct 2.20:1 as seen in theaters and the audio will be Dolby Digital 5.1. There are currently no plans for Universal to release the film in physical 4K Ultra HD. (I would suggest, however, that if sales of the Blu-ray are strong, that could change in the future.)
Here’s a look at the final cover artwork for the Blu-ray release, which is currently available for pre-order on Amazon by clicking here or on the art below (SRP $34.98, but Amazon currently has it for 40% off or just $20.86—it’s worth every penny)...
If you haven’t seen the film yet, it really is a marvel. I would even say it’s a masterpiece. You can read my review of the IMAX experience here, and rest assured I’ll review the Blu-ray as soon as it’s available.
That’s all for now! Stay tuned...
