All right, I’m currently working on a review of Universal’s 1917 in 4K Ultra HD, which I hope to have up here on the site later today.

In the meantime, I’ve officially confirmed with the studio that Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite is indeed coming to the 4K Ultra HD format here in the States on 6/2.

However, some of the cover artwork that you may have seen floating around the Internet is incorrect. The official final cover artwork for the title is visible on the left there.

Audio should be the usual DTS:X, and the extras will be the same as those found on the previously released Blu-ray version (reviewed here on The Bits). More details should follow soon. [Read on here...]

Meanwhile, we also have a new Blu-ray review for you today: Tim has taken a look at Todd Holland’s The Wizard (1989) on the format from Shout! Factory—the disc streets on 3/24. Enjoy!

The Curse of the Werewolf (Blu-ray Disc)Speaking of that, Scream Factory has just announced their 4/21 Blu-ray release of Terence Fisher’s The Curse of the Werewolf: Collector’s Edition. The 1961 Hammer Films classic stars Clifford Evans, Oliver Reed, Yvonne Romain, and Catherine Feller.

The 2-disc set will include a new 4K scan from the original interpositive, new audio commentary (with actress Yvonne Romain, special makeup effects artist Mike Hill and composer Leslie Bricusse), a second new audio commentary (with author/film historian Steve Haberman and filmmaker/film historian Constantine Nasr), 2 new featurettes (The Men Who Made Hammer: Roy Ashton and Serial Killer: Benjamin Frankel, Serialism and The Curse of the Werewolf), 3 previously released featurettes (The Making of The Curse of the Werewolf, Lycanthropy: The Beast in All of Us, and Censoring the Werewolf), the theatrical trailer, Trailers from Hell commentary by John Landis, a radio spot, and a still gallery. You can see the artwork on the right.

All right, gotta get back to work on 1917. Stay tuned...!
